Malta Holiday Packages
A package bundles your flights and hotel, often with transfers and luggage. Packages sold by UK companies that include a flight are ATOL protected, so you are covered if the company goes bust.
| Option | Best for | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|
| Package holiday | Ease, ATOL protection, transfers included | Less choice of small hotels |
| Flight and hotel booked separately | Boutique hotels, flexible dates | You arrange your own transfer |
| All-inclusive | Families, fixed budgets | Fewer reasons to eat out locally |
All-Inclusive Holidays in Malta
All-inclusive deals are mostly in the larger resort hotels, in areas like St Julian’s, St Paul’s Bay and Mellieħa. Read our guide to where to stay in Malta to pick the right area first, because the area matters more than the hotel on a small island.
Cheap Malta Holidays
- Go between November and March: days are mild (around 16 to 21°C) and prices drop outside school holidays.
- Stay in St Paul’s Bay, Buġibba or Qawra: usually cheaper than Sliema or St Julian’s.
- Use the buses and ferries: you rarely need a hire car on Malta itself.
- Be flexible: midweek flights are often cheaper than weekends.
Gozo Holidays

Gozo is Malta’s quieter, greener sister island, 25 minutes by ferry from Ċirkewwa. A Gozo holiday suits couples and anyone after a slower pace, often in a farmhouse with a private pool. Read more about staying in Gozo.
